Following the publication of Mysterium and with the blessing of the Graz school inspectors, Kepler began an ambitious program to extend and elaborate his work. He planned four additional books: one on the stationary aspects of the universe (the Sun and the fixed stars); one on the planets and their motions; one on the physical nature of planets and the formation of geographical features (focused especially on Earth); and one on the effects of the heavens on the Earth, to include atmospheric optics, meteorology, and astrology.

In the GDUSA February 2017 magazine, which kicked off our 54 th year of publishing, we released our annual Students To Watch selections. Now we’ve compiled a list of our favorite institutions that excel in preparing students to work successfully and effectively in a professional graphic design setting. The list is based on a mix of objective and subjective factors, including our own decades long relationships with designers, students, recruiters, educators. The names are alphabetical. The reach is national. The theme is timely: design education is more important than ever as the lines between studio and classroom, office and academy, university and society, continue to blur. And as designers play an increasingly influential role in shaping commerce and culture.
