“I am extremely happy that I chose the University of Cincinnati because I feel that it’s a quality program that will help me professionally when I retire from the military. The facilitators are active within their groups and are always available to lend a helping hand. I would recommend the University of Cincinnati’s Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) program to anyone who is serious about their education. I know that when I graduate I will have truly earned my degree, will be fully prepared for the national registry and will be proud to hang the diploma on my wall.”

You cannot transfer credit from other institutions if you are seeking a . degree.  A master’s student may transfer up to 4 semester units or 6 quarter units of course work completed as a graduate student at another institution if (a) the work was taken in graduate status at an accredited institution, (b) it did not form part of a program for a degree previously awarded at Berkeley or elsewhere, and (c) the grade received was at least a “B” and the student’s overall GPA at both institutions was at least . Acceptance is subject to the approval of the Graduate Division upon recommendation of the department concerned. Transfer of credit will not reduce your academic residence requirements or the required minimum of 200-series courses in the major field.

Nearly all departments and schools on campus complement the resources of the UC Irvine Libraries by maintaining their own reading rooms and scholarly meeting rooms. They contain small reference collections and are the choice for more intimate lectures, graduate seminars, and study sessions. There is also the large Gateway Study Center located across from Langson Library, one of the university's original buildings and under the custody of UC Irvine Libraries. Having served formerly as a cafeteria and student center, it is now a dual-use computer lab and study area which is open nearly 24 hours.

UC Berkeley pioneered the holistic review process at UC (now adapted by most of the UC campuses), enabling us to admit a diverse undergraduate class representing 53 states/commonwealths and 74 countries, with 17% who are first-generation college-going and 65% who receive financial aid. “Holistic review” refers to the process of evaluating Freshman applications where no one piece of information is weighted more heavily over another. “Comprehensive review” refers to the process of evaluating Transfer applications where all academic and personal attributes are considered, but more emphasis is put on academic preparedness for the major.
